Newborn Portraits :: Miss Olivia & Family

I have to brag on this amazing new family…

When you get married, you often will repeat these words,
“Through thick and thin, in Good times and in Bad” and it’s relatively easy to feel on top of the world when you say this. You feel pretty strong, pretty invincible as you the hold the hand of your new life partner. Time passes and then, you (might) have a baby. This feeling of strength, that you can do anything, has completely changed. Your heart is no longer protected inside of you, it is now in and all around this little person. There is a sense of complete vulnerability. Your every hope is for your child to be healthy and safe and happy in your protection.

Say hello to Traci & Phillip’s baby girl Olivia. This little angel spent 118 days in NICU; Parents out there, you know it’s hard enough to be away from your newborn for 1 or 2 nights. She is doing so awesome and is now happily situated at home in the arms of her amazing parents.

I am typically the one to rock newborns during the sessions, getting them back to sleep, but Olivia was noticeably more comfortable in the arms of her Daddy or Mommy. For being so young, she just knows who is who. It was precious.

Traci & Phillip, you’re doing great! Thank you so much for letting me photograph your beautiful daughter and one of your first family portraits. Wishing so many blessings your way!

Here’s a little glimpse of my stunning bride Shelby during her bridal portraits at Dimebox Ballroom in Georgetown, Texas. Seriously, she’s gorgeous. I had such a great time photographing her, with the company of her friend, mother and grandmother.

Wedding at The Springs :: Jordyn + Milam

Wedding Day :: J + M

June 17th, 2016

at The Springs in Georgetown, Texas
. . .

Words from the lovely bride Jordyn:

Milam and I went to high school together. My sophomore year I remember spending my lunch time in the library just to see him since he was the library aide. Its safe to say I had a huge crush on him…and I like to think the feeling was mutual 🙂 After many visits to the library he asked me to hang out with him at Barton Springs in Austin, TX. I was so excited and nervous since he was a senior and I was only a sophomore. We shared many great memories together that year but once college came up we both went our different ways. Fast forward to 2014 and a notification on my Facebook. It was Milam with a cheesy “something made me think of you today..” message and just like that we started talking again. We went on one date and haven’t been apart since. Roughly one year later we took a trip to Cabo and after the most perfect day with the beautiful beach in the background he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! That was the best day of my life until June 17th, 2016 🙂

Once we got engaged I couldn’t wait to start planning our wedding. I knew pretty quickly The Springs was the perfect venue for us! The Springs allowed me to express a little bit of both of us, country & chic. The blush and shades of pink flowers were the perfect mix with the rustic wooden interiors. I wanted our wedding to have personal touches that meant a lot to us and our families. One of the most symbolic decorations we had was a table full of wedding pictures of both our parents and extended families representing years of love & marriage. Another small touch was adding deer antlers that Milam or his family shot over the years to the floral centerpieces. He loved having a hunting story to share at each table.
One of my favorite parts of the wedding was all of the people who helped make it come together. We had all hands on deck the day of creating my rustic yet elegant vision. The beautiful florals came to life by the hard work of a good friend who did more than I could’ve imagined! The beautiful wooden bowls used in the snack bar were made by my Dad who spends hours creating just one bowl. All the gorgeous calligraphy signs that created the perfect touch of elegance were hand crafted by my sister-in-law. Overall, I was very lucky to have such talented friends and family who put in time and love to help create the wedding of our dreams!

My sweet bride wanted to give her hubby an awesome gift, a little book from her boudoir session. These are the images she selected and is allowing me to share with you.

Such a gorgeous girl inside and out. We had a blast putting this shoot together.

Georgetown Wedding :: Emily + Garrett

One Fine Day in June

Emily & Garrett tied the knot under a warm Texas sun on June 4th, 2016, at Gabriel Springs in Georgetown, Texas. They were able to get a little “sneak peek” before exchanging vows, and I’m so glad they did. All nerves were relieved, excitement was felt, and some tears of joy were exchanged between the couple. Just beautiful!

Here are a few wedding highlights to enjoy, and the full gallery will be complete within the week.

Congratulations, Emily & Garrett!

All the best,

Addison
